Default coolant mixture?

I have a Fluidyne radiator and when I put it in I went 50/50 with 1 bottle of water wetter. On my temp. guage I noticed that the car runs hotter than with the factory rad. in it. With it being summer time now and all should I change my mixture to help it run cooler? Any suggestions would be app.

Thanks...Darren

more water, less coolant...
if you plan on doing this again when it gets cold , then run just water and water wetter during the summer

Since you live in Nevada - I think you should expect it to run a little hotter in the summer time. What is it about 150 degrees there now?

You are probably also using the A/C alot or continuously and this is going to stress the motor a little more. As long as the car is not overheating I wouldn't worry about anything.

I wouldnt run straight water for extended periods.

along with a lower freezing point, the glycol also provides a higher boiling point, and some anti corrosion properties

more distilled water than coolant. its summer you can keep coolant down to about 15% of the mixture.

BTW: water wetter will not make any diff with that much coolant in there.....I'm pretty sure it states that on the bottle....

When I put the radiator in it was getting close to winter so I just put one bottle in with plans to change in the summer. Now I am finally getting around to changing out.
