Default need sum help.. ima try to explain it best i can

iite so i got a swap in my 91 civic si.. its a jdm d15b.. the motor is healthy and clean as ***.. problem is that the car will turn over but wont really run.. like i turn key and it turns over then runs for like 1-3sec then it shuts off..all the hoses are connected right.. timing is not off its good.. someone told me to get starter fluid since i changed the manifold.. to see if it has leaks i did that and it has no leaks no nothin but the car turns over and runs for like 5 sec wwen u spray starter fluid in the throttle (sp) body.. but then wen u push the gas it cuts off..the car is gettin spark.. the fuel pump works ..map sensor is fine.. car is gettin enough fuel so i jus duno why its not startin.. any help would be good.. o yea and i changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires and dizzy is brand new..

double check vacuum lines and where they go, maybe a gasket is bad, did you change the tb and intake manifold gaskets. also check the tps sensor

ok so your car runs for about 1-3 sec, what is your total set up, what ecu are you running and is every thing converted over to obd1, that same thing happened to me with my set up, all was obd1 but the ecu, as soon as i convetted every thing over, the car ran fine....

wrong ecu.

and when you say you changed the manifold. what was the old manifold and what is the new manifold? I'm guessing you're using the TB from the new manifold since you said you never had it off. Also, how did you "convert it to OBD0"?

im usin the stock manifold that came on the car its off the d16a6 (91 si motor) so i jus took off the whole manifold n bolted it to the new motor so all the sensors n etc would line up and i also got the harness to convert obd1 dizzy to obd0

if im corect i dont think the make obd0 diz, what you did was fine with the diz conversion now you need to get a obd1 ecu, o2 sensor and a jumper harness.

you have OBD0 ECU and OBD1 distributor - won't work - you need to use an OBD0 distributor or convert to OBD1 - none of the MPFI OBD0 distributors will bolt to the head unless you modify the attaching arms - to convert to OBD1, you need OBD1 ECU and OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness - depending on which ECU you use, you may need 4-wire O2 sensor - in any case, whether it is running OBD0 or OBD1, if you have the OBD1 injectors, you need to remove the injector resistor box - if you have OBD0 injectors, then leave the injector resistor box in the system

CHECK YOUR tps, throttle postion sensor, turn it counter clock wise... tps is located on the throttle body on the back side facing your fire wall... it has three prong wires conected to it.

I know TPS wires vary from different motors, i tried using a d series tps on my b16 and I had to switch the two signal wires. something to consider
