i am gona install a d15b motor into my 99 civic what do i need as far as wiring is involved ? do i need to change the whole harness and ecu?

OBD1 normal VTEC motor, or the OBD2 3-stage VTEC D15b?

What obd motor are you swapping into your ek? There the obd1 d15b with one v-tec, and the obd2 d15b with 2 v-tec's. It depends on which motor you have. If you have the obd2 motor you don't need a conversion harness, but if you have the obd1 then yes you need it.

After seeing what motor you have Why would you swap a d15b in? Is you motor broke? because both motors are practically the same as far as hp output.

yeah thast the problem i blew my d16y8 and a friend gave me the obd1 d15 so i figured i would just put that in since it was free . and its the obd1 d15 with one vtec thats goin in so i know i need a harness justdont know wich one exactly if u could help i would really appreciate it
