Default question about engine swap from b15 to vtec

hey i have 1995 civic DX, im just getting into the tuner scene, and i have switched engines before in gm vehicles but im not sure the differance on upgrading to a vtec...

my current engine has been having some head gasket problems that is reducing preformance....if it is possible i would like to upgrade to a vtec and there is a guy i know who has a 1992-95 D16A SOHC VTEC ENGINE for sale...clean with 40k on it....

is there a way i can make the switch or am i stuck with my b15's?

There is no such thing as a B15.

buy a d16z6 , a 92-95 engine harness, and then a p28 ecu and your set.
