Default Too lazy to really search...

I looked around a bit but I can't find a sure answer for this question. What tire pressure should I put with 195/50/15 tires on my 95 Civic hatch? The usual 32? Higher? Lower? Thanks in advance.

look at the sticker inside your door jam. Use the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.

195-50-15 is is what comes on an EM1 stock (or damn close to it). OP never mentioned what car these are on. Civics really aren't that far apart as far as weight of them goes. If he uses the tire pressure from one he's probably going to be within 1-2 psi of where it's optimal for every other 92-00 civic out there.

OP stated the tires are on his 95 hatch, so the tire pressure sticker doesn't apply to his tire size.

ha just kidding. the recommended tire pressure on the tire is there for a reason go with that. ive read if you put 2-3 over you get a tad better gas mileage. never tried it though

35 psi in the front, and 32 in the back as per the sticker in my glove box. Those numbers are based off the weight of the car and the weight distribution. BTW i own a 95 civic vx.

I've had some tires that say run them at 50psi and when ran that way they wore

out in the middle which means they are over inflated, run what the sticker in the

door says. Mines in the glove box and it recomends 32psi and the tire wear is

normal. Try different pressures and inspect the tires, if they are wearing on the

outside add pressure if they are wearing in the middle lower the pressure.

good luck

I had my car repainted and I think the idiot removed the sticker inside my door jam so that's why I had to ask here, lol. I'll probably just call Honda and update you guys on what they say. Thanks for the help guys.

WHAT? You ran a street tire at 50psi? Where on any tire does it say to RUN the tire at that pressure? What you saw was the maximum pressure the tire can handle dude. Seriously. Are you kidding? :shakeshead:

I run 35psi all around, for wear purposes. On our accord, if you run the recommended pressure, you get SERIOUS wear on the outer tread of the tires. I run 35psi all around in the civic and accord, tire wear is good and it helps economy too.

Makes sense to me, I think I might run 34 all around, just to be a bit above recommended pressure. Especially considering that the insides of my tires are finished from having driven too long without an alignment, hehe.
