how to run subs in my integra
Ok I just want to run 1 10 sub into my spare area of my trunk can i do this wuith all my stock stuff. also where can i buy a box for this. and do i need to get a new deck?
so you want a spare tire well box? or are you just putting it in the hatch/trunk? anyway it wouldn't hurt to get a new/better deck if you can afford it.. but if you don't want to or can't afford it.. you can run line level converters what tap into the stock speaker wire and convert that signal into RCA's so that you can run the sound output from the RCA"s to your amp and sub....
if your askin if you can drive a 10" sub w/ the stock head unit and no amp... then no...
but if you want to keep your stock head unit.. and add an amp and sub then yeah get a line level converter/speaker level whatever its called...
you can get a box built for your sub at any car audio shop.. or you can build your own.. just make sure you look at the specs and know the air space and everything required for your specific model number/sub..

If you just want some decent background bass to enhance your music pleasure you can also try the Infinity Basslink or the bazooka tubes, they adapt right into the rear speaker wires (hi level inputs) and provide some decent sound.
Otherwise listen to gsrRacerBoi
and the thingie he is talking about is a High Level Speaker adapter, about $35 canadian (so like what...the price of a coffee american???

of the 2 I'd go for the Infinity bass link.. if you just want some "filler" bass.. but in general I'd rather go w/ a sub and amp.. that way you can get something w/ more hit (if thats what u want.. cuz I like bass)...
and even when u get a new head unit in the future you can use either one (bass link or amp and sub setup) in case your wondering..
here in Cali.. the converters cost about $15-20.... sound quality will be better w/ an aftermarket head unit and 4V RCA pre outs if your picky.. but if your OK w/ using the stock head unit.. doesn't sound like your super picky w/ your sound..

, I personally put in a seperate amp/sub with head unit and speakers all around, but originally all I had were two subs and an amp.
do spare tire well boxes sound any good? or are there any premade sealed boxes that will fit well in the rear corner of the integra hatch/trunk?
