Default my car is done....

i have an 89 si hatch with an h22 swap in it and it is at the shop right now getting re-wired. The mechanic called me today and told me that the frame is cracked by the engine mounts. He said i should get a new shell......does anyone know a way to fix this or should i just buy a new car? How much is a cx eg going for these days...thanks

That sucks that you put all that work into your car Just to find out your fram is cracked, but dont worry thats just a minor problem you can take your car to almost any body shop and they will either fix it by just welding up the crack or they will weld another plate over the crack all depending on the size of the crack, so dont worry about it to much any thing is fixable, just finish the wiering and drive it over to a shop you might want to call around to find the best deals first.
my friend rebuilds smashed up cars all the time and he said it shouldn't cost to much to fix it, it will defenetly be cheaper then buying a new one. Hope that is of some help to you ..
