Default Roof Panel

I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for the roof panel. I just picked up a type r shell that someone installed a sunroof in and i would like to remove it. Any help would be appreciated! thanks.

It looks ok....i suppose i just dont want a sun roof. I couldnt pass on the deal though it was too good. Its some after market one too. I need to pick up a new headliner and that roof panel.

but i have no idea why someone would do such a thing.

I would be willing to bet that you could remove the sun roof, weld in a few supports, and some new sheet metal, and it would be cheaper than buying a new roof skin....

but I could be wrong...

good luck on your project......

pics are mandatory of the process/progress

If it were me, I'd replace the roof skin instead of just welding the hole shut.

I don't know the part number, but http://estore.acura.com has it under the body/chassis section if you look up ITR parts.

I was also interested in learning more about this.

Understand Composite Fab made some CF roofs that were a complete replacement (not just cap) for the factory roof. Too bad they went out of business

for some weird reason, acuraoemparts.com pulls up this picture for an 01 ITR:

part number: 008 62100-ST7-G00ZZ PANEL, ROOF 1 2000 INTEGRA 427.73 342.18

Thats the picture that comes up, but its the correct part. If you could pull up the part number, it'd come up as a different number compared to the LS/GSR roof. I'm almost positive I had this looked up at Acura one day.

And I'd still say to replace the entire roof skin.

If you are going to be adding a CF roof might as well replace the steel roof as opposed to using a CF roof skin. Why would you want more weight up top? How much do those Cf roofs run?

But braces are stronger. I thought the skin was thicker too.

Do a new skin, its not too bad, I did it on my 93 hb. if you just patch it eventually the welds will show, if you buy a cf skin, it won't be oem. Being that it is an R, Go the cleanest nicest way.

Part number is: 62100-ST7-G00ZZ

Full retail in CAD is $806

and it's the cheapest roof panel for the Integra out there...the RS one is a different part number and retails for $884CAD.

good luck with your project.

i forget who quoted me once, but i almost ordered one for my R which has a sunroof for $371 or something

people act like a sunroof is completely unfixable

can be easily done for under $1000 no problem
