so i ran into a starter problem the other day
on monday, i noticed a weird sound when i started my car. it was a short high-pitched grinding sound, so i turned the car off and tried it again, and nothing, so i shrugged it off and took off for work. i work about 40 miles away and when it came time for me to take off for the daily errands, the high-pithced grinding sound came back. by now i figured i would have to get a new starter but i couldn't change it right then and there. so i continued to keep driving to get through with my errands. mid-day, and it's just a constant grinding sound and the engine wouldn't turn over, now i'm screwed. my buddy and i had to push the car down the street so i could pop start it. got it going got to napa, picked up a starter, changed it out, and waa waa waaa.. the sound is still there, sure enough i looked at the teeth on the old starter, they were worn down... and now i believe the teeth on the flywheel are freakin worn down as well. so my car is just sitting at my dad's house in his driveway until i can find the time to work on it. i just thought i'd share with y'all
