Default r18 tranny

I have a 07 lx 5speed sedan and was wondering i don't race my car considering its pointless its a lx. But anywho if i do get on it off the red light or so the tranny seems to lag is it just all the r18 trannys cause i never had a problem with the d series or b series trannys, If so is there any performance that we can do clucth, flywheel, etc. I just want the power there to have if i need it. Also i was planning to do little upgrades like i/h/e and thats probably bout it.

the power issue lies with your motor not your trans.
a new clutch/flywheel will not help you out.

intake and exhaust i can see, but arent the r18 header plastic?

are you serious?!?

intake is plastic, the header is not.

in fact, there is no header; only a downpipe as the exhaust manifold is integrated in to the head.

Boost if you plan on gaining any realy power, otherwise you will have a louder car with 10 more hp.

If i was gonna boost i want to give them time to come up with a good kit not something ppl wanted so they rushed it. Also i want to wait a lil bit of time before i void all my warranties. ( And yes i know i/h/e will but if i really need to take my car in for anything i can take it off and throw it back on.)

it would be a huge pita if you had to take off i/h/e and reinstall stock i/h/e, just so you could take it in for something. if thats really your mindset id rethink modding the car right now. just leave it be until warranties expire.

Absolutely. A piggyback that has the function to adjust settings of DBW systems will solve your problem (Greddy E-Manage, HKS F-Con IS, AEM F/IC,etc.).

Or if you're not into piggybacks, try this product from Pivot this will do just the trick to improve your throttle response http://pivotjp.com/product/frame-3-drive-e.html, http://www.pivotracing.com/product/THR

Wepon R makes a down pipe for the r18. It looks pretty cool. I dunno if it actually does much though. I'm not too familiar with the r18 but I think it removes the cat. So there may be some legal issues with running one on the street.
