OBD2 D16Y5 into '93 EX Chassis. Just make sure I've got this straight.
I'm pulling my pristine D16y5 from my '96 HX (100k miles) and putting in my wife's EG, with a tired out 220k mile D16Z6. I'm gonna swap a B18b1 into my EK, so yeah.
I plan to put a new clutch and timing belt/water pump on the Y5 as well as the Z6 trans and exhaust manifold since the Y5 pieces blow hard.
So my dilemma begins here...
I bolt in the Y5 motor with the OBD1 Z6 harness on it (right?)
Or do I use the OBD2 harness? With a jumper or something for the ECU?
I haven't swapped a motor in years and even then it was OBD1 only.
I may have this totally wrong, but thats why I'm posting. I tried to search for OBD2 motors in OBD1 chassis, but I just got a lot of threads for the reverse scenario.
Any help would be much appreciated.
