Omni power rear control arm bushings worn out
I have a set of omni power rear control arms (old design) on my eg coupe. Inner bushings got worn out after a year of use. I tried searching for replacment bushings from energy but I couldn't find answers. Anybody knows what bushings I can get to replace worn out ones?
Contact Omni, they will send you the new 3rd gen LCAs. All you will have to do is pay the difference of how much you paid for your old ones from $220-230. I ended up going with this route instead of buying new bushings.
I'm done with omni stuff. I had so many issues with it I'm cool. I was just going to try to fix it with better bushings then those that they came with, but I guess whatever garbage they go. It seems like omni doesn't like to test **** out before he starts selling it. 50% of the stuff that I get from him ends up either [freak]ing my car up or takes a **** not too far down the road.
Yeah, I never really trusted their products all that much either. The race coilovers had non-adjustable dampers with a 12k/8k spring combo. The rebound and secondary jounce control on those things were complete crap. It was like driving an El Camino with the front shocks blown out.
i use their clutch master cylinder and it is a good product.. i dont see why these control arms with "enhanced" bushings should just wear out when OEM control arm bushings lasst

because the bushings rips right out of the sleeve. and yea you have the second gen clutch master because the first ones failed, lmao. cheap ****, I didn't learn my lesson the first time, there won't be third time.

You need to clock all your bushings when installing suspension parts. Any bushing you loosen up will need to be re-clocked if you lift the car up in the air with the bushing loose.....or loosen the bushing with the car in the air.
If you installed new LCAs..you HAVE HAVE HAVE to clock bushings (unless they're full floating). If aftermarket rubber bushings are left un clocked, they will tear within a month or two. You probably just noticed it.
Aftermarket rubber bushings suck.
If you're done with OMNI stuff, buy some OEM arms from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. The bushings are 100X better.
Clock them this time.

Yep. But even with properly installing my Omni LCA's, the bushings in mine are cracking and splitting near the bottom. They use cheap material.
damn thats crazy.. OMNI
i never really used any of their products besides this clutch master cylinder and now i am not looking forward to..

YEA my bushings were tightened down on the alignment rack, and then a month later loosened/retightened again. I'm a tech, I know it's not good to tighten bushings up in the air. But yea whatever...

well....aftermarket parts are usually nowhere near as good as OEM.
That's why I would rather buy OEM arms. They're about $25-50 more than Omni arms....but there's less hassle.

I had one of the shops find me correct bushings from ES. So yea, I will post up the part # after I get them.
