Need help with custom tranny's gear ratios
First off this is going to be mated to a h22 with bolt ons for now and maybe a little nitrous down the road. It will be my daily driver but when i go to the track i want to run the fastest times possible. oh yeah 8k redline is all im revving to
So i got a gsr tranny w/ lsd. Im going to run a gsr 1st, ls 5th, and ITR 3rd and 4th. Im just stuck on 2nd gear. Should i stay gsr or go ITR? i was thinking that since im using the h22 a little longer 2nd would help but im no pro. Also how can you calculate what rpm's will land at after you shift? Any help will be appreciated

all 1st gears are the same.
2nd gear divided by 1st gear = NUMBER
multiply that number * redline to find out what your rpms will fall to.
2.105 / 3.23 = Y
Y * 7500rpm = X rpm
i'd just use a b16/itr if i were you, cause it will come with the b16/itr 3rd and 4th.

also using bense's equation it looks like it would stupid to run a gsr 2nd. SHifting into 2nd it would fall to 47xx and goin into 3rd it would be at like 62xx so i think im going to stay with the b16/itr 2nd also.
