Default AEM v2 intake for preludes

I have this intake on my lude and got pulled over yesterday. The cop came up to the car and said, "I pulled you aver for illegal window tinting, but I am more interested in what you have under the hood. Pop the hood and step around to the front of the vehicle please. Is everything stock?" I replied, "No, but its legal." and popped the hood. I have no carb sticker on my intake (dunno if it is legal, thought it was) and he told me that I needed take care of that.

He wrote me a ticket for no front license plate and for modified emmisions and I now have to go see a state referee for an inspection (california).

Does anyone know if this intake is legal? If so, how do I get a carb sticker for it?

Also, how attached does the license plate have to be? don't really feel like mounting it.

Thanks

i have a 4th gen, and for my license plate, i simply zip tied it up when i got a repair order for not having it mounted. took it to the police barracks to have it inspected, and the cop said nothing about it... just a thought.

my bro used double side tape to stick the license plate right in front of police station to get it sign off, it works. than he took it out before he drives off the lot.

the aem intake should have the CARB sticker on top of the intake tube, if you lost it, you might want to contact AEM and see if they can send you any kind of document to prove it is legal

if you have current emissions inspection, then how does an intake void that? i had my emissions done in NY and still passed with an air intake on. twice actually.

Because it's California. (From what I've heard their police have nothing better to do than pull over guys who enjoy their cars) They have to pass both a visual and emissions inspection, unlike most states that simply care about the emissions part.
