96 Preluve VTEC - CEL CODE # 9
Hello everyone,
Ì would like to know if anyone has been able to fix a "CEL CODE #9" without replacing the entire distributor assembly. I am asking because I just purchased a 1996 Prelude VTEC (OBD2). I drove about 500km with it without any problem what so ever. Last week, the CEL light came on. I checked the code and it gave me a code #9.
I know for a fact the distributor was replaced just a few months ago. It still looks brand new. Other than the CEL light being ON, I didn't see or feel anything different with the car. It idles perfectly, and is far from running rough. Would anyone know, besides replacing the disty, if there is another fix for this problem. I have searched but was unable to find anything besides the above fix.
Thanks in advance.
