Default My little project, stock b18c1, Garrett t3/t4 setup

Well, I picked up a used turbo kit off John at Phearable a couple months ago....this is what I'll be running:

57trim stg. 3 .63 a/r Garrett t3/t4
Custom log mani
Tial 38mm w/.5bar spring
2.5" downpipe/exhaust
Precision fmic
Greddy Type S bov
All t-bolt clamps
E-manage blue
RC 440cc injectors
Walbro 255 pump
Stealthmode block oil fitting
Custom goodyear stainless braided lines

Once I pick up the serial to usb converter this week, I'll be installing the emanage this weekend to get seat time with it....mainly see how the car reacts to adjustments like vtec and ignition timing before I throw the turbo kit on there.
I know, I know, don't tell me I should've gone Crome or Neptune or whatever.....I got the emanage, injectors, walbro, and a boost gauge for $200. The emanage is COMPLETE, boost sensor, ignition, injector harnesses, support tool. Twas a deal I couldn't pass up.

I know the limits of those 440s is about 300whp, hence why I'll be running the 7psi spring. I figure I should be around 250-270whp with this setup, tuned properly of course.

All that's left for me to buy are some t-bolts and maybe a coupler or two, and the oil lines once the block fitting arrives. That and I've got to high-temp coat the downpipe, mani, and turbine housing this weekend.

The plan this summer when I make some extra money on odd jobs is to pick up some forged pistons and rods, throw in neptune RTP and some larger injectors and go for about 400whp daily.

sounds like a fun setup. Mine is pretty much the same except for a different mani, 780s and 12 psi

Personally I'd get crome/neptune/ectune/etc before forged internals. Actually, that IS what I did - ems, boost, build. I don't see a wideband in your list, so I would actually suggest you get that before anything. You can give reading the plugs a shot, but unless its a race car (WOT only), it can be a big waste of time, as opposed to working a few days and making enough to buy the WB.

If you don't have any extra cash to buy an EMS, that also means you don't have any to fix a blown motor yet. Be mindful of what emanage is capible of, especially if you try it yourself. Most people here make 250-275whp easy to get, and very safe. However they generally are using an EMS with full control & accurate datalogging...

I appreciate your concerns, but I didn't say how well versed I am with turbo setups I've owned two different innovate widebands on other cars, built 3 turbo cars, 2 sentras (one SR20 powered) and a 400whp 12 second 350z. I've used emanage blue twice and emanage ultimate.

I don't possess a wideband now but I'll be borrowing an AEM uego for my tuning.

It's not that I don't have the money, it's that I've got other more important things to spend it on: mortgage, other car payment, harley payment, wife, power, water, student loans, etc

ive heard the aem uego might not be the best wideband to tune with, apparently it isnt as sensitive as other widebands....

I plan on doing a similar setup, but im using Hondata s200 and the Treadstone Performance turbo kit, with a Turbonetics t3/t4 60 trim stage 3 .63... I plan on just running stock internals (250-270hp), until i get some extra cash for forged internals then (300+hp)...

Good luck with your setup, mine will commence this September...
