Does it make sense to re-spec this turbo?
I got 2 identical T25 turbos which have been remanufactured from Garrett.
They are Ball Bearing units and have some weird specs, something like .82 exhaust and .38 compressor. I do not have the turbo handy, so I cannot be sure.
I wanted to put it on a B18B just as a fun project at about 6-7psi. I am wondering if it makes sense to re-spec the turbos to a more friendly compressor spec for the B18B? I probably cannot get much for the turbos anyway, but don't want to spend a bunch on it either.
I was gonna put it on as is, but the specs would make it like a supercharger and run out of breath quickly.
Suggestions?

I say just throw it on. If your only looking to boost 6-7 psi, its not worth the money to re-spec it. Dont need as much breath with the LS since your redline is 7k rpm. Put it on and have some fun.
What do you mean by respec the turbo? Get a different turbo or get a different compressor wheel & housing?
Regardless any T25 is too small for a B18B. A 50 or 60trim T3 is far closer to what it should have, both will spool fast and make 250-300whp. That turbo is going to have a hard time making 225whp, more like 150whp at 7psi. A B18B makes about 120whp stock...

Thanks for the replies.
By re-spec, I mean changing the housing and wheel.
How much does it cost to do that on a T25?
I was thinking that the powerband will be quite narrow on a turbo with those kinda specs.
I have done custom kits on my civics before, but always used T28's or T3's.
By the way, the Teggy is a 98 auto-tragic

Can I just buy a T28 turbo and use that, then if/when the turbo ever needs rebuilding, I can use the T25 cartridges I have and use back the T28 housings and wheels?
I am just trying utilize the turbos at some level without selling them for squat.
