just installed a skunk2 intake manifold and a blox 68mm TB. on a 99 si. b16a2 Now my idle is at 1400rpm and it surges up to 1800rpm. There are no vaccum leaks that i could find ! Any suggestions to what it could be ?? ? ? ?

Iam still running the stock obd2 ecu !

 

could be tps sensor or iacv

 

this happened to me when i installed my blox IM. what i did is let it break in and then i tuned it right...

does your throttle body whistle now at part throttle? mine does... but my IM was ported and im still using stock TB... panning on going 72 mm soon...

 

Also check you idle adj screw and the butterfly cam (as i call it) set screw on the t/b. If these are not syncd with each other it will cause a surging effect.

 

just got a scanner going to tune tps to 0% at idle will let you know what the results are !

 

its trowing a code for tps malfunction, and it says the thottle reading is at 5% at idle and the max throttle percent i can get at full throttle is 80% !!!!
