Default GSR with a LS motor in it. What kind of issues would this cause??

I just bought a 95' GSR with a non-VTEC swap in it (PR4). What kind of issues would this make in the ECU? I would think there would be some CEL's or something since there is not a VTEC solenoid and pressure switch anymore.
BUT I don't have a CEL nor do I have any issues with the car. The swap is very clean and if the Title didn't say GSR, i wouldn't know it ever was.
The only strange thing it does is when it's cold it has a bouncing idle. You can hear it go low and then make a suction sound and then go up and back down and it keeps repeating that same bouncing until it gets warm.

What do you guys think of the LS into a GSR?

It depends how its tuned. Sounds like whoever built your engine did everything right. The issue you have with your car having to warm up is normal though for any built engine. I have and ls vtec and I have to do the same thing. Its just that the compression is higher then stock and the oil needs to warm up and circulate around the engine. Dont drive it until it warms up, you could damage your engine.

I would guess that my engine wasn't built. It was prolly just a straight swap. I think it was done professionally but still just a swap.
There is nothing about it that indicates that it was rebuilt or built.
I think the GSR motor had a failure or theft and the owner replaced it with a cheaper motor.
The weird thing is the CarFax idicates it had 258k miles on the odometer at one point in 05' then in 07' it went back down to 153k. Now has 155k on it. The interior and exterior do not look like a car with over 300k on it so I am assuming the odometer was mis-reported at one time or maybe a couple times. OR maybe the odometer was swapped with the LS motor and the odometer idicates the mileage on the drivetrain instead of the body. But the exterior and interior looks like a 80k miles car or something close. The leather is in great shape and the car has been re-painted. The history is a mistery to me.

I would assume if i am NOT getting CEL's then my ECU must have been changed out. I guess I need to see what ECU I have now.

Shouldn't I have a couple loose plugs where the VTEC solenoid and Pressure switch where connected?

most likely the used a ls wiring harness instead of the gsr one. Also just check your ecu, it most likely is a p75 which is what the b18b1 motors use

ya they probably used the p75 like he said the harness doesnt matter and the idle problem is probably the fitv under the throttle body, pull it off and see if it is corroded.

i have the exact same thing with my car...1997 gsr shell w/95 ls motor and cluster with 158k. the bouncing warm up is probably your fitv like he^^^said. since i talked with the owner i already knew the deal on my car...but with yours if it has a clean GA title...i think the motor may have just blew at 258k and it sat until they could throw in another one...if is drives fine and appers to be a clean swap don't worry

Yea it's a clean car and the motor compartment is clean as well. I suppose they just swapped the gauge cluster or rolled it back when the motor was installed. The motor runs perfect other than the idle and seems to be very strong. I will do a compression test soon but I think the motor is in top condition other than a leakiy Cam seal.

Compression test definitely a great idea on any used engine.
For the cam seal (the one on the passenger side right?), you can get a metal one w/ o-rings on ebaymotors. I used a Blox one and haven't had any leak since.

Yea, I was checking those out. Prolly get one soon. Gotta fix my Master cylinder first. They are not cheap to replace and my brakes are bleeding down while braking.
