hi, im running a b20z ej8. the motor hits the hood when im at full throttle, and if i let off the clutch too fast.

im using stock mounts and i believe that is why..

my question is will energy suspension mount inserts solve this problem?

are you using the stock IM or LS/after market?

 

You need a Hasport rear mont to hold that puppy in they make alot more torque you can use inserts to help you but the mount will be 100% better.

 

im running a stock ls IM. it is the front right of the valve cover that hits the hood.

the a/c bracket is just there. there is no bolt holding it to the mount. but im not sure if that is the problem because a lot of guys run without a/c..

 

me too....my gsr in my eg put 3 dents in my new hood, i'm pissed off...i even proped the hood up about 3/4 of an inch.....i know alot of other people using all stock motor mounts and they don't even need to prop their hood...wtf!!!!

 

yeah.. i guess im gonna have to just get new mounts..

stock integra mounts here too and my gsr did the same to my eh2 lol,

 

just go buy aftermarket mounts around 300$ and problem fixed!!!

 

cut the hood $zero money spent...

 

i did and i dislike the vibration so i put back on the stock ones. small dents on hood &gt; vibration

 

It depends on the person the vibration with time eases down but you can still feel it that whi i always recommend the rear mount with the stocks all the way around or the other 2 inserts. I have an eg the front right corner almost dosent have any paint but on my coupe worked like a charm.
