Default D16z6 head Y7 block Problems

i recently did the mini me swap. it was running good for a while, but just this morning it started acting up. when coasting in any gear. id grab hard when you applied the gas and let off rough when i let off the gas. also to mension oudda the gear if i slightly hit the gas id hit rev limiter (almost like a rev control) at around 1800- 2000 rpm..

( i have OBD1 Dizzy on the head. and the P2P ecu.. is that the problem? possibly defult mode?)

You need to convert to OBD-I and use the P28. How do you expect it to run good when you're running the wrong ECU for the cam you have?

Yes. I got my boomslang harness from Kingmotorsports.

You probably need to redo your timing as well. If you set TDC by the mark on the crank pulley, then you're off 4 degrees as the Y runs off 12* and the Z runs off 16*. Set TDC by the piston instead.

Put a wooden bbq skewer with sharpie marks on it in cyl 1 and bring it to TDC. Then look at your cam gear. That should tell you roughly how close you are.

Cam gear should be set correctly when cyl1 is at TDC.

Are you throwing a code for it? I'm guessing you are.
