Default got oil coming out off my BOV

i notice some oil spray next to the BOV and there are also some oil in the BOV (HKS SS). so i toke the intake pipe of the compressor housing and there's a puddle of oil inthere. i don't know where the oil is comming from. should the compressor suck all the oil in because it's on the intake side. i check for play in the shaft and there's no end to end play but there is side to side play, only about .5 mm of play. it's a drag turbo kit and has less then 2k miles on it. i took the turbine housing and the compressor housing off to paint it but i never disassemple the shaft and the center housing. is there a warranty from drag for this turbo since it has such low miles. what should i do?

Sounds like you have blown oil seals in the turbo. It will need to be fixed by a turbo shop like Majestic turbo.

Is it possible to put hondabond or something like that on the old gasket to prevent this leak or is it not possible?

i don't know if i have any warranty or not. it's a drag 3 kit. i did check for play when the turbo was cold. i dont want to take the shaft apart because it might screw up the ballance of the shaft. isn't some kind of oil seal to keep the oil from comming out. any one has a picture of turbo taken apart. how much does a new t3/t4e cost?

sounds like the turbo seals... keep an eye on your oil. Also you need to determine what caused your seals to blow... wether it was just a bad turbo or what.

Hey guy's did you ever think it may NOT be the turbo!!!! A cracked ring land will put oil into the intake side of a motor. If you have bad piston rings or cracked lands, the crankcase pressure will increase forcing oil out the crankcase tube going to the intake pipe. Check your cylinder compressions before looking at the turbo. I had a gsr at my shop running too lean and detonation cracked the lands. All 4 lands will dump tons of oil into the intake. Enough that you will see it out the exhaust. 1 ring land will not show much at all out the exhaust and the car will run normal, but will still put oil into the intake. Run the motor with the crank tube going into a catch can and see if any oil comes out.

Just a diff thing to think about.

ahh, i figure out what happened. my distributor went bad last month and spew oil all over the place. some got inside the turbo and collected in the intercooler. i thought it would gradually get sucked into the engine but thats not the case. it spew back out into the intake pipe when at full boost and the throttle plate close. all that air rush back out to the intake and taking the oil with it. i took some carb cleaner and clean everything out. no more oil since last night. hope that's the problem and not the turbo. i was getting all excited because i had a reason to go out and buy a t3/t40e. now i'll have to stick with the t3/t40b
