Default Going with Bigger Cams! Help!!!!!1

JDM B18C Sir-G
Head has no porting
already installed is Buddy club spec 3+ cams/stock gears
skunk2 valvesrpings/retainers
Skunk 2 IM

Stock block (bottom-end)

I think stock comp ratio is 10.6 on a JDM B18C motor.

Can I go skunk 2 stage 2 cams? I dont really like the Buddy Clubs because they kinda lack top end power (I like the mids too but will sacrifice for top-end)

Thank you.

u won't see maximum gains without a proper tune and not having the cams degree'd. if ur looking for a drop in cam, look itr/ctr. s2s2 without a tune and stock cam gears will net u less power than the bc3+'s

Like Rollo said, a tune with s2s2 is a must.

Before pulling the cams, I would look into a good header and exhaust then get it tuned. Your cams are fine, no reason to pull them out yet.

I have already have a DC Sports 4-2-1 header, hi-flow cat, and Tanabe concept G exhaust..

Will there be that much of a difference between my spec 3s and skunk 2 stg 2 cams.

In a daily driver where you don't see revs above 6k rpm much, the BC3 cams will dominate, if its a drag car that revs about 6k rpm constantly then the s2s2 cams will dominate.
I love the BC3's in my dd, and the Blox B's which are pretty damn close to s2s2's in my weekend drag car.

Oh, and like clean rice said, get a better header, that DC header is junk. Look into a hytech or rage, at least a edelbrock header and do the 2.5" collector mod.

I am actually running a pro flow header that I modified currently. With exhaust that doesn't sound anything like an import all custom made by me for under 500$. I do have engineering drawigns for it all however and 3D models.
