this integra is hot!!!!!
ok i have a 1995 integra ls and im having an over heating prob.
originaly my temp, guage would start to pass the halfway mark if i let the car idle for to long, so i changed the thermostat and it heated up even faster after that so i put the other one back in and it worked the same way it did from the get go, then i was in the middle of down town chicago and a radiator hose blew out so i bought new hoses and another thermostat replaced them both,
it still over heates not as fast but the crazy thing is if i drive with my prm's over 3000 the temp guage will stay at half any ideas i was thinking water pump

its 1995, when was the last time you had a timing belt/water pump? id bet thats the problem.
i would also venture to guess your car is overdue for a coolant flush. if you dont do it every 2 years it will start to erode the inside of your engine away. including eating away at your water pump.

Check for restrictions in radiator also. At idle the coolant might not be pushed hard enough to get through easily and when at 3k rpms the water pump pushes the coolant enough to get through the restriction

a syphon pump abailable at the auto parts store.
imho, change the oil, and drain it into a tub where you can see if water is in the oil. headgasket problems are waaaaay more common than a failed water pump.

the only reason i say water pump is the coolant is **** brown and all the coolant lines are **** brown on the inside how do i flush the coolant? i will check the oil tonight
my friend had the same problem it ended up being the headgasket..he was blowing hoses and things like that....the reason the temp stays down during the 3k range is probley because your getting a steady air flow to the radiator and its keeping the colant down in temp...
