Default Power Loss

I bought my type-s about 5 months ago and it has 105k miles. Cant tell if it was before or after i bought the car that i noticed that the power is below normal. Its definately a type s and it has aem cold air and catback exhaust. The spark plugs are NGK and look good. The car runs VERY well and idles clean and smooth. I run 93 octane fuel also. I first noticed the power loss when i started racin a few people, some of which were a friends kia spectra sx. Im not beating people i should! Anyone have any ideas what could cause this power loss? Im puzzled.

Ive been considering a compression test just didnt have time. Thought it was odd that the car still ran great though.

Grrr, where do I start. I saw your previous post on redlining your engine and valve adjustments.

First of all, If you're murdering your car everyday, you will gradually (very gradually) notice a loss in performance if either, the engine wears, or youre not maintaining it properly.

I dont want to be a nanny, but stop giving honda drivers a bad name and tearing up the streets, if in fact your doing this redlining in you home town, and not at the strip or road course.

Next, if you want to learn to do your own maintenance, search honda or K series valve adjustments on here and google, and you'll find a good source for info......If you have to take your head off to find the valves, youre already in a bit of trouble.

this "power loss" could be just psychological or just bad driving.

dyno your car to see what whp your at, and just enjoy your car

Air filter is AEM and already cleaned. Bad driving??? Dude get real. Where i live theres no place to dyno close by without driving at least 100 miles. I am thinking it could be pshycological due to the fact that the more familiar you get with your car the slower it seems. But yet with 200 stock and 20 in mods... Doesnt feel close to that. Feels like around 165-170. :/
