Default cluster problem

i bought a itr jdm cluster for my car but when i install it the gas and the temperature dont move they work but the gas stay on e and the temperature stay on hot for some reason. does this have anything to do with my car being a 2000 because cluster came from an older car or is the cluster bad

if you still want to use the cluster, and you have your original, take both apart and switch the entire gauge assemblies or you can peel the the green part off the back of both and switch them, its a lot faster but you have to be very careful not to damage it.
