Am I missing anything?
I am doing quite a bit of maintenance to the ITR before expo.....My stock 97 is 11 years old now, and I wanted to make sure that she is up for the hpde speeds and possible stresses of being on track....
So far, I am going to change the following.....If I am missing something please chime in w/ any suggestions.....
Car has 137k on the odo...
-New Koni Yellows w/ stock springs( I feel like the oe shocks are on their way out)
-spark plugs
-oil filter/oil
-tranny fluid
-magnetic drain bolts
-Techna Fit ss brake lines/new fluid
-K&N drop in air filter
-fuel filter
-timing belt/water pump etc. was done less than 10k miles ago
-new cap, rotor, coil was replaced @ 5k miles ago
-tires are 205/50 azenis w/ about 4k miles
I am going to run the stock pads/rotors at expo and then replace them w/ o.e. when I get back home....

I agree and I would recommend ordering small parts to keep it on hand. But that's just me though. For instance spare plugs, spare pads, spare valve cover studs and nuts, spare valve cover gasket. I have seen instances last year where someone needed a valvecover stud because they stripped theirs. I'd hate to miss out on driving because of something little like that.

What's the deal with the shoe regulations? It says leather or leather type material? Can't we just use regular closed toe shoes? I don't want to be turned away from driving because of something stupid so i'd like this cleared up

In the Expo 8 Rules & Regulations quote under Required Equipment:
"-Non-synthetic fabric clothing (i/e/ Cotton), including long trousers, socks and a long-sleeved shirt.
-Shoes must be closed and of a flexible solid leather or imitation leather construction."
yes, I was like wtf?

well if you are replacing them when you get back from expo, you might as well order them now, and bring them. just in case.

I've seen people destroy a set of pads, especially stock, in a day. Of course that all depends on the driver, but better safe than sorry, or better yet drinky-time on Monday afternoon instead racing to Autozone for spares
