i have a 98 dx with 107k miles...just bought it about 4k miles ago..im the 2nd owner.
anyways, what kind of things should be done to a engine with 107,000 miles on it?..it doesnt seem like the guy before me took care of it, so im sure there is plenty. anyways, i was just hoping for a decent list of things that should be done. also, i am planning on ordering a helms book for my car...will this describe replacing parts etc in to detail? (so that a noob could understand)..also, i did search...and i dont know if i just suck at searching or what...but i couldnt find anything.

by the way, i AM a noob with cars...im just trying to learn...soo please spare the flaming.

Timing belt, water pump, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, valve adjustment, spark plugs, change oil and oil filter, drain and add new coolant, basic cleaning around the engine bay, brake pads and maybe rotors, bleed and add new brake fluid.

Just some ideas. You don't have to do it all at once, maybe every oil change from here on do a few of those things each time.
