Ok i have searched around and found install threads but need functioning pics on how to properly install all three of these. WATER / OIL TEMP, PREASSURE
any help would be appreciated!

I'd say get a sandwich plate and call it a day.

haha i know. thats why i haven't changed the sig. figured it would help keep it on the low low.

yeah, it came with directions, but what im mostly looking for are pictures of where to tap into my locations. im just better with visuals. for instance are people T'ing off their oil preassure sending unit for their oil preassure gauge? or are they removing that entirely. I would like to have all my oemsensors etc. functioning as back up.

where and how are people tapping for their oil temp gauge? do i have to put a hole in my oil pan&gt;?

 

Like said above, a oil block adaptor is the best way to go. MFactory makes one. Check it out on teammfactory.com and PM me if you want one.

 

t the oil pressure off the back of the block . I recomned you do not screw the oil pressure sending unit directly into the block- run some stainless steel line.

water temp and be either the water pipe in the back of block or radiator hose,

and oil temp could go either with the sandwhich plate, or tap into the oil pan.
if you have an oil cooler you could plumb it off there too.

This is correct. I went through 3 Autometer oil pressure sending units before i figured out to remotely mount this sending unit. What happens is the sending unit goes bad due to the extreme vibrations of it being mounted to the back of the block. I ran a stainless steel hose from the back of the block and up to the sending unit which was remotely mounted - worked like a charm. In any case the sandwich plate adapter is a good product as i used it to hook up the oil pressure and oil temperature sensors. Good Luck!

 

thanks to all for the help. I have a better idea of what I'm looking at now!

OK, so I measured the oil temp sensor and the "probe" extends half an inch past the threads.
SO the M factory unit looks promising but i need to know if it will fit my temp sender probe.


Aquafina, Can i get verification of fitment and availability (turn time) for the sandwich plate?

Does anyone have the thread pitch for the thermo switch¿ I THINK its a half inch but i need to be certain.


I' m planning on T ing off my thermostat housing from the thermoswitch hole and putting the thermo switch on one end of the T, and the mechanical probe on the other. It should still read because it's a pressurized system and will push the fluid up in there.

if anyone has an extra switch or thermostat housing sitting around and willing to find out i would appreciate it!

 

nice gauges! I just picked up a Boost, Wideband A/F and Oil Pressure for the R the other day

I was going to hook up from oil pressure/temp guages before expo but I don't think I have enough time. From researching I was going to do this.

Get this adapter:

This has two 1/8NPT ports, so your temp sensor can plug in here. They are small and light so I dont think you will have problems with that one creating vibrations however the oil sender needs to be mounted externally.

Pick up a stainless steel line.

Then you just need two more adapters.
One for the sender:

I plan on doing that for the oil stuff but i need help with the coolant temp end of things.

You can tap almost anwhere for coolant. Its a simple as just splicing a line and dropping a T in. Two ends with barb fittings and other with an 1/8 npt port. (Or whatever sender unit you have.) becareful not to restric the line with the T.
