got a 89 civic dx 1.5 dual point, the car will bog down then kick in and keep doin that , sometimes it wont do it for like 5 minutes and then it will start it again.sometimes the check engine will pop on and then it will completely bog down. throwin an 02 sensor code but i dont think thats the problem. hasnt died yet it will just bog if u go around a corner in 1st or 2nd and if u put it to the floor, its almost liek the throttle has to be in a certain spot for it to run decent. someone help, thanks

 

sounds stupid but.....

It could be getting to much fuel / dumping fuel
This can be caused by a bad injector or.. There is a rubber o-ring on the injector
were it meets into the TB it could be torn /worn out

jsut replaced the o2 sensor and that didnt help, anymore ideas what i can try

 

fuel filter, spark plugs/wires, timing, ect.

is you CEL still on?

 

nope the check engine is off now, put new plugs in it, the wires are fine, i jsut bought it like 2 weeks ago, maybe the gas is really old or somethin, ill throw in a fuel filter and it might have jumped time so i will check that also, thanks
