Default New honda owner

well kind of..... I did own a 91 accord back in the day but it was a daily driver.

We picked up a basket case/retired race car this past week.

The shell is very straight, the only interior left is the dash and front door pannels. The body has been lightened then re-inforced with stitch welding and a couple braces here and there. It also has urathane bushings throughout.

The rear suspension was missing the lca's and rear struts so I ended up tacking in some flat stock to hold the rear up. I've got a spare set of rear suspension I'll be piecing stuff together as the project progresses.

Now off I go to abuse the search button ha ha ha

Thanks for hosting such a great site with a ton of info!!!

Thanks, yeah I got this car for free. I did an SR swap for a friend of mine and this was "extra" payment since he liked the work I did .

I've done quite a few full restorations before. And I actually will have two going on at the same time. I'm doing an 80's model C10 for my brother and this one is actually going to be my son's car (15yrs old).

I want it to be an everything car. But mainly a road car that happens to run mid to high 13's when I drive it.

I'm pretty open to engine choices right now. Out here in Oklahoma, the single cams sell pretty cheap..... so that may be the route I go.....

possible mod/build list:
single cam turbo with a small T28
used coilovers from ebay
a bunch of fake jdm parts..... rota wheels, fake mugen valve cover, facaros or something similar.... no interior behind the driver/passenger seat.... A nice 4 or 6 point cage.... This car is going to have all the fake stuff but done nicely. Remember the toughest job of this car is going to be surviving a highschool parking lot ha ha ha

Maybe not some rotas but who knows they're pretty cheap ha ha ha.

I'll post pics after we strip it down and get the body pannels mounted to see what she really looks like.

Looks decent. What exhaust is that? Looks like Buddy Club Spec III.

Good luck with the EG!

Think of it this way, you can choose everything for the interior (i know people who wouldn't change interior bits because they already have something, etc.).

LOTS of potiential and near endless options. Have fun.
