Default Over Heating B16

Ok guys here's the deal, Just a few days ago my Si has been over heating. Prior to the over heating about three weeks ago I got my timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and my valve adjusted. Now my car over heats after 3o miles of driving it. And when the AC is being used my idle is really low like the car is dieing. And when im shifting gear to gear the car doesn't over heat till i'm at my final gear which is 5th and when on fifth gear, car over heats again... If any body knows what could be the cause that'd be greatly appreciated. But on monday its going back to the shop where i can give my complaints too which was the prior person who worked on it.

hate to be ghetto...but try bypassing the fan...the plug that the thermo switch connects to, just unplug it and stick a paper clip into the contact points...the paper clip should be like a u bend and the fan will stay on the whole time ignition is on...see if that will stop from overheating???
