Default how much power do you think i can run??? what psi should i stay in???

I have purchased a block today,, it has JE pistons and EAGLE H beam rods with arp rod bolts, type R water and oil pump, block guard with stock 81.5 mm bore. i think its 9.5:1 ratio. i'll be running a gsr head OR a b16 head with gsr cams,, havent decided yet cause i have both sitting in my garage.. but the head will be stock with arp head studs.. i have a GT35r i wanna run on it but i just dont know what power range i should stay at.. wanna stay safe but run to the limit (what would that safe limit be on a set up like this???) any info would be greatly appriciated

In my opinion you'll be fine with 400 hp on pump gas and around 500 hp on race gas.

Of course i wouldn't expect it to last a lifetime either but it should hold up sometime before the sleeve probably give out

that turbo is WAY too big to just be doing 400whp in IMO.

400 hp on the street is ridiculous... its more than enough power... atleast for a daily driver.. which is what mine is... u can run 11's if u build the car around the 400 whp... for ex suspension, traction bars, lsd...

well ur going to want some stiffer suspension than stock of course. whatever head u can get cheaper i would guess... id just put some dual valve springs and titanium retainers... that extra piece of mind. i dont know but i wouldnt trust a stock valve springs with my build

well as far as springs i have skunk2 coilovers, i was thinking of going with a kyb or tokico sturt (with stiffness controll). i have type r upper strut bar and megan racing rear upper and lower sway. can you think of anything else i would need as far as suspension>>? also on the head.. i have two b16 heads to choose from and the gsr too=3 the best bet for me would be to go with the b16 head cause its easier and cheaper to find parts for... what valve springs and retainers should i go with???

alot of your questions (cough ::ALL:: cough) have been answered before. your best bet, instead of making new threads and asking people to come to you, is to search for the knowledge you seek, the same way all the people that have the knowledge did. everything you're trying to do has been done before, hundreds of times.

good luck with your build!!

k, so this is what i have lined up: b18a1 block with je 8.0:1 pistons and eagle h beam rods, arp mains and rod bolts, ls crank, arp head studs, b16 head with gsr cams and shooting for the skunk2 pro valve srings with retainers. also I have a drag manifold but i doubt it would fit the gt35r so anyone ever tried it on with one of those or should i start looking>>>?

That compression is rather low, but that'll allow you to make more power on lower octane fuel (i.e. pump gas). As for the Drag manifold, there's no way i'd ever suggest that for the GT35r. The wastegate placement is terrible and once your GT35r starts spooling, its going to want to continue which means you're going to have a lot of issues with boost creep.

I'll be using neptune and Courtney Green is tunning it.. as far as the manifold, i guess ditch the drag mani and go for the ram or is there a top mount recommended by any of you guys??? I'll be reserching some online tonight so dont think i'm lazy lol
