Well the typical build is just pistons and rods. I have my goals listed in my sig. When i built my setup, i got a set of 9.8:1 Arias pistons and Eagle rods. I also got a new HG, oil pump and water pump while it was apart. The head is still stock...your build really depends on your goals

Rod Bolts? Are you serious? This isn't a NA build. I would never recommend stock rods on a boosted build with rod bolts..

What power goals are you going for? Will this be a daily driver or a track beast?

I'm just listing those as THE BARE MINIMUM. you could easily make enough power for any street honda with the fore mentioned if you know what you're doing.

Yes, thats true. But he did not state his power goal. He may not want just the "bare minimum", that will depend on his power goal, and what exactly he wants to do with the car.

get the block and head resurfaced
eagle rods
9:1 cp pistons (81.5mm)
block bored/honed to piston specs
oem rod/main bearings and thrust washer
new oil pick up gasket
new oil pan gasket
new head gasket
arp head studs
new rear main seal
new water pump
new timing belt/tensioner

and that should be it
add a 57 or 60 trim turbo and you have a 400whp pump gas street car

sorry. should've said my goals.

Wanting to be able use it as a DD, but at the same time be able to up the boost and put up 250-300 for autox..

Also.. Any suggestions for head work? will injectors, cams, porting matter?

lower compression you can run more boost to make power but higher compression you can run less boost and still make power but risk detonation...unless your cool and run a different kind of gas...ethanol cough cough.

but if you only want 250-300...i wouldnt bother in wasting money on the bottom end to make that. it can eassily be done on pump gas with a decent setup...and still have it be reliable.

yeah. i said 250-300 thinking it would be safer... I'd like to get as much as possible, but i don't want to blow my damn car up.

after looking here https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/post-your-turbo-gsr-hp-numbers-1501150/, it seems like if i run eagle rods and 9:1 pistons i could be running 250-300 safely as a dd...

i know about 6 people in my area that are putting down over 300 wheel on a stock bseries. 3 of them are putting over 400. one is at 460 wheel. and his girlfriend dailys it too.

but to each his own. eagles and 9:1's should do that easily.

for 250-300 do like I said in the first place.. replace the pistons, maybe the rods.. make sure you replace the rod bolts and head bolts with ARP. an oem headgasket and you'll be good to go.. also a set of DSM 450cc's, fuel pump and a good tune
