Default Gauge Cluster Swap Question

I am putting the manual gauge cluster (the one with the tach) in my EF. I notice a green plug that plugs into the cluster on my car and I don't see where it would go in the w/ tach cluster. What's the green plug for?

it could be for cruise control, is it just a few wires?

if you dont have cruise control all you need are the vss plug and the 2 large plugs on the left and right.

Yes the green plug only has a few wires... I'm at my brothers house right now so I can't check how many. The two large grey plugs and the blue plug in the middle match up. I'm not sure what the blue one is for either.

i was gonna say I think the cruise controll plug is blue, so now I'm not sure what the green plug is for. there is a green plug for the defrost or dimmer switch I believe, maybe it was dissconected and pulled up there.
can you post a picture of it?

EDIT: I just checked my car, its the rear defroster plug, it has 3 black wires and 2 red wires (91 civic)

I completed the gauge cluster swap, I just left the green plug hanging. Everything seems to be working fine. I will try to post pictures after work tomorrow. Still driving me crazy what that plug is for.

What year is your car and the year of the car the cluster came from? Did you have to repin anywires? I think it may be for the seat belts

Here is a picture of the cluster with the tach installed. Everything works so far that I have noticed.

This is the picture of the cluster area from the car I pulled it from. The car is a 1990 as well, but I am not sure if the cluster has been changed out before. I got a few clusters with it.

This is the picture of the cluster area in the car I am doing this in. I circled the unidentified green plug.

And the back of the automatic cluster. I circled where the green plug goes in. I also have an identically cluster without this plug so I don't know what it's for...

Here's the face of the automatic cluster I had in before.

The grey plug on the far right bottom goes to my hazard lights I think. That would make since for the gear indicator for automatics though. It doesn't make since that my spare automatic cluster doesn't have the port for that plug though but I also don't know anything about that cluster and where it has been either.

That's not necessarily true in my opinion. I think the blue pin is cruise control if I were to guess. Our cars are wired for the vent clock but don't have it, and there's a few other examples out there. Hopefully someone can get the facts straight. Even though everything still works
