Default gauge cluster question

i have a 91 crx dx. the person who owned it before me decided to put in glow gauges and i hate them. so i went to u wrench it and got another cluster the only problem is the new cluster is missing a device of sometype on the back in which a blue plug with foru wires plugs in. i tried to hook everything up with out the plug but the tach doesn't work. does anyone know what this plug is for? and if so can i get ride of it so my new cluster will work.

I could be wrong but the blue plug has to do with automatics, the lighting where it says N,P,D,R and so on. That has nothing to do with your speed, the cable back there does.

no theres a green plug w/ roughy 8 wires. THATS ur P,R,N,D4,D3,2 number light. i also have a blue plug but i know it's for the cruse control lite and to dim it at nite. i dont know much about crxs

what model is it? i know the HF had some sorta shift light and a "speed buzzer" that was on over 72 MPH

Yeah I knew I could of been wrong, I know the blue plug is not the shift light though because I have the plug and its an automatic. If you search you will find the answer because I remember reading it on here.
