Default turbo eg, d16y7

STOP, don't return back to the main page.. LISTEN to this

ok my buddy has a 94 eg coupe with a 99 d16y7 with a y8 manifold.. I keep telling him over and over he needs injectors and engine management just for it to even run, and he keeps telling me.. he's done this before, he doesn't need anything than stock injectors and an LS ecu to adjust the fuel curve alittle than his stock non-vtec ecu.. can anyone prove me right what does he REALLY need?

Instead of a VAFC he would use a SAFC then.. Almost the same thing.. both are engine management

And to successfully run a SAFC.. he would need 10watt 10ohm resistors and dsm 450'cc injectors, and someone who knows what they're doing to adjust his fuel so it would even be safe to run.

How does he plan on adjust the fuel curve with a stock LS ecu?

**edit**

I'll be on later when you post about the engine blowing up..

Then by your logic, DSM's shouldn't run a VAFC but they do. The VAFC is capable of working with a VTEC equipped car, but having VTEC isn't a prerequisite to buying one...I suggest learning what you're talking about before making snide comments like that.

In short, your friend is an idiot. He's going to blow up his engine and then be one of the many ignorant people who spread rumors of how unreliable a turbo Honda is. I say, let him go since he wont listen to reason. Let him learn his lesson the hard way.
