I have a strange problem that I couldn't find any answers to. After pulling the transmission 3 times the last 1.5 months for a clutch change and then the problems following, I have one last leak. It seems that oil is leaking from the side to side gear selector on top of the transmission. It's a pretty significant leak and drips onto the axle which then slings the oil all over the place.
There's no nut or bolt on this lever, just a weld spot so I have no idea how to change this out or how easy it would be to change the whole gear selector assembly on top of the transmission, especially while leaving the transmission in the car. I figure that it probally got bumped one to many times while dropping the transmission. Has anybody else ever had this problem before? I know that it is this lever that is leaking because I can very slightly wiggle it, and while doing so it makes a oil and air sucking sound. Here's a pic of the leaking lever, circled in green and you can see how it leaks off to the side of the transmission. Here's how much oil drips off just from sitting after a 5 mile drive.
