Default Problem with DA 5th gear!!!

I just bought this car 92 integra ls a week a go and everything is good, Engine run smooth same as tranny. A few day ago i got the motor oil change, oil filter change, coolant flush, insert a fuel injector cleaner bottle, and inspect whatever needed to refill.. So today my uncle drove it down south and he was on 80mph on 5th gear. After a good 5-10 minutes 5th gear keep on popping out, keep on doing it, but once it stop it be a while before it does it again. My Buddy say that it can be my Gear, or need transmission oil change... My bro say it might be running out of clutch pretty soon.. Does anyone have a legetimate answer....Thank jess.

If your clutch is going out it wouldnt cause it pop out of gear. First thing I would start with is drain the tranny fluid and refill it.

Sounds like a syncro problem

OK have u bothered to even check the oil or change it or are you just going to assume its the syncro? If a syncro is bad its not going to just pop the tranny out of gear. It'll just grind. Do you know any history on the tranny? What kind of clutch is it?

i change the oil already but not the tranny oil yet.. And it does not grind on any gear its smooth all the way.. Bought it from a old guy who was the first owner...But good news, i think my uncle suck at drivng stick shift so that is the problem, it don't happened to me when i drove it... I guess he didn't pop it all the way to 5th gear...

change your tranny fluid anyways. Who knows how old it is. That one of the main things people forget to change.

might be a bearing on counter shaft by the 5th gear too. Fluid will not cause it to pop out of gear!
