Default Welding Transmission case for Liberty Gears

I've searched and anywho, I cracked my b-series case kinda of like

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2134359

Not to that extent, it was just in another post.

Anywho, I've been trying to look around to find pictures of those who may have had their cases welded/braced to keep that from happening. Just would like to get an idea so we don't trash a good case .

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
-Chuong

Also Miller from NRG is a good person to contact. He has done it several times too.

The one I saw at his shop was beautiful.

Why send it to Tony? Do a search on here and you'll see how they are welded, have a local fab guy weld it up. Not trying to knock Tony in anyway, and if you do send your case there it'll be done right, but man.... He's not the only guy in the world who knows how to weld a tranny case up.

Send it to tony. Not just anyone can weld it. He has done a lot of them that have worked. I would hate for you to buy a new case then someone cracks it while welding it.

I actually spent a couple hours searching and nothing I searched for came up with any pictures on where people are welding. So, I went and got some 1/4" alum plates, braced up all of the webbing points and put the transmission back together.

I know tony does great work and I'd trust him to get a case done for me, but I need to spend that $ on the parachute setup first. chute > case @ this time. I had a used case laying around so I just want to see if the couple extra braces I put in there will do anything or not .

I guess time will tell.

I would think any shop that welds aluminum blocks for race engine could weld up a tranny case.

We can take care of your problem... We have been welding the cases up since the first liberty's where made.. (before the Billet cases). We have welded a lot of them up for people in the area.
