Did he add bracing?
I've always wondered if adding some bracing would help...

I know that there were some people building bracing systems just to hold these things together

Some of them were pretty edward scissor hands looking but, it seemed to help! I would like to see someone like Tony1 fab something up.

Those just look like casting marks, not cracks. Do they leak oil? I see that all the time, but never seen one leak.

Yeah, I agree with Tony. I am a 17 year Honda tech (factory trained, not the web site) and all the aluminum pieces have this to an extent even the engines. So don't stress. Those are normal unless they seep or leak.

You are correct That is 100% normal.

Reminds me of when we first started doing the Retail thing...gotta call from a local guy that said he shattered his case...so I quoted him the best I could and told him to bring the trans in. He pointed out all the casting marks(cracks) and said..."See I must have been on it pretty hard to do that!!"....I chuckled and showed him all the cases I had at the time with the same exact markings!

Even if the cracks are on the otherside of the case too matching exactly? The other half of the tranny has a hole the size of a baseball in it from the diff.
