Default anyone Have A Carputer?

I'm still doing research but this seems really interesting to me.

I could have all my music, navigation, bluetooth, etc.
Anyone have one?

i dont know if it's around anymore but there was a guy on s10-forums.com that had a sweet lifted truck that had a carputer. it was a small case that ran a super stripped down version of windows on i think a 3" monitor. had nav, mp3, and some other stuff. maybe try a google search. i think he had a zr2 if that helps.

Are you familiar with mp3car.com yet? I've actually been considering a build lately and have signed up on the boards. Quite a few Honda individuals post there, I haven't seen any 1993 Integras yet. Are you going for a flip-out display? I don't remember if you get single-din or not.

I actually did more searching after posting this last nignt and found mp3car.com, pretty cool site. Haven't found anyone with an install in a 93 though.

I do have a double din. I'd like to completely replace my head unit.

Excellent. Most people use 7 inch screens (usually "Lilliput" brand) in their dashboard to replace their double-din units. Can range from $100 to $500 for it.

There are power converters that will take a car's fluctuating (12 to 14.4 volt) power and turn it into computer-usable power. That way you skip picking up a power inverter and going redundant DC 12v ->AC 120v -> DC various.

Thanks!
