Alright guys I am in the market for a good set of wheels/ tires for my civic.
the setup is:
1994 civic SI (prolly at 2400lbs now )
b20 motor, 250whp, 220 torque (boosted)
B16 transmission non LSD
stage 3 clutch
I had a few different things i was considering-
On a setup like mine, how big of a difference am i looking at when it comes to times(60 foot / ET) by switching between a full 23" slick, or a drag radial?
I was considering choosing a set of these:
http://www.mandhtires.com/stor...etail
for my car, but dont know if they would hold the power? with 250whp, and 220 torque, would traction be that big of an issue?
Thanks!

at that power level, i would say an LSD would better serve you than some slicks.. but that is just the route i would go first.

Ah id love to do the LSD, but i just cant do that at this point yet-
I have seen some people cutting GREAT 60's with open differential, and at my power level i bet it should be fine.
Im going to contact diamond racing, and if they can get me a set of 13x8 steelies, ill be ordering the M&H 23"s otherwise i guess itl have to be the other

i used to have an ls-vtec on nitrous 250 hp and 190 torque ran with 24's and it did not bog. i did cut 1.8's gsr lsd tranny. have not ran with DR's so can not really give an input on it. wheels i'd say some bogarts or lenso would be nice. go and check out exospeed website or pm him (ExospeedAMcrx) he'll be alot of help for slick application.

24.5" on 250 Whp could be a real ET Killer, I agree with the 23" and maybe even a set of 22s. You can probably find a set used.
Point is slicks are really good for about a season IMO. So if you gonna make the investment and want to go the fastest possible you have to match it all up. 22/23s will effectively give you shorter gears and lower your ETs at your power level. The 24.5" will be there when your in the 350+ but I bet even at the point the 23s will still be making better ETs.

Just found a set of minty gold lensos / 22" M&H's for 485 shipped to me- sounds like a good deal to me. Im going to pick it up and enjoy it over the summer while i build my motor that will do 350+, then upgrade to the big boys
thanks guys!
