Curious about my next purchase...what would help more for the launch, some bfg's or a limited slip?

 

no question here, DRs all the way. LSD wouldnt help unless u had high HP car. at that point u would have already been at least on DRs if not on slicks.

 

if its for the street i would say lsd. If your going to track get some slicks. Slicks are way more fun and you can get a way better launch no matter how fast the car is. I was getting 14.8 on my stock d16a6 in crx and having fun. Then I got a b18c1 and put lsd in the tranny and had way more fun bring the car out without it pulling to the side on me. Both are good things to have though.

 

Yea it's daily driven, so the lsd could double over for that. I'd like to run with all the other street cars so it'd have to be a DOT tire.

 

But the drag radials would help much more on the 60' huh?

bfg's it is! getting some 5.5" wide del sol wheels for em, hopefully something will be thin enough to fit on them

I'ld go with an OBX LSD and a set of azenis. Good compremise on both accounts.

 

I'd only slap them on when I go to the track, already got azeni's

i used michelin gs road race slicks for the street

 

My Nitto 555r drag radials have lasted a long time and they still have a lot of tread left. I have used them at the track, street races, and when driving around town.

 

What sixe? The no longer make what i wanted, which was a 215/50/15 i believe

What 60's were you able to cut with these? I'm picking up some 205/50/14 bfg's.

 

Id be scared launching hard in sticky tires without LSD. I crushed my spider gears shifting to second on Dunlop street tires, little pieces of metal bounced around, damaging some gears and the inside of the bell house

I say LSD first.
