Default Fan Trouble Shooting

Okay, so I am pretty much mechanicly inclined. So if someone can help me out with explanations that would be great.

Both radiator and cooling fans are not working. This crx is completely stock down to the airbox. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I then went to check the connectors by the air filter. Their pluged in, but I didnt connect them together.

Now I know where the relays are, but how exactly would I know if they are bad or not?

Also, this is more of an effort to get my AC blowing cold(its starting to get really hot down here). As far as I know the compressor kicks in, its just not cold. So if I get the cooling fan to work, will it make my AC blow cold?

I also just need them to work so I dont overheat the car in the summer.

Thanks

just for kicks i would try swapping relays...there should be another one under there.
do you know that the fan(s) good? try wiring direct power to check it.
what is your temp gauge doing??
lastly, your a/c won't blow colder with the fan than it does when you are going down the road. only parked does it make a difference. you may need to recharge the system

The temp gauge works, it stays in the middle. How exactly would I wire a direct power to the fan? And there is a spare relay?

And if the Cooling fan dosnt affect the way it cools the ac, then I dont really need both fans running, do I?

you can splice into the fan wiring or use standard connectors into the plug. i'd try some 14 gauge wire at least, going to the battery. that will tell you if the fans good.

there isn't a spare relay per se, but you should find one (horn or the like) that you can try. junkyard may be an option also.

the fan affects the a/c or engine temp only when parked or moving slowly, so no you don't need the fans going down the road. but they should be functional for traffic jams, etc. you don't want to overheat.

good luck, let us know how you make out
