so one day i noticed one of my bolts was missing from my steering column where it bolts into the steering rack. i went to the dealership and bought two brand new bolts. i went to put in the other bolt and the column has shifted the other direction and its a BITCH to line up the holes to drop the bolts in. i've spent countless hours and i've had sslbn8o (nate) try and help me to see if it would be easier with two people...nope. this is by far one of the trickest things to do without pulling the motor or replacing the whole steering column. ANY IDEAS???
at this point, i'm dumbfounded and its becoming annoying. i want to figure this out before i start breaking more **** on my car out of frustration. any help/input is appreciated.
THANKS!

i'm way past that. you're missing the point. both bolts are OUT and i'm trying to line up the column to the rack to bolt it down. its almost impossible at this point because its shifted and you can only get one arm down there to try and line it up. you can get to it if you pull the motor but i'm not doing that just to do something that should only take 10 minutes. i'm also thinking about pulling the intake manifold off...
Couldnt you unbolt the lower yoke (inside car right before it goes out the firewall). I would think that would alow you to move it around to line up your bolts. Good luck.
