That's a Thermal Thuckle Valve. It controls the temperature of the incoming intake flow and regulates it to acceptable levels for proper fuel mixture and combustion efficiency.

its a purge valve i believe . Its normally located on the firewall with the map sensor and stuff on 88-89 rex's and it switched to the bac of the intakes on 90-91 rex's if you have an older rex si you can match the wires color for color and run extra wire to it .
its none of that its only on the si its the fast idle selenoid it serves no purpose wut so ever u wont get a code if u dont have it or if it is broken i dont have one on my car at all

its the EVAP purge solenoid valve
If you look at the hose from it, it goes to directly after the throttle body. It taps directly into the air port that bypasses the throttle plate (same as the IACV).
Like i said, its like an additional mini-IACV.

no, Dom was right. The evap purge valve is on the firewall in this year.
