im tryin replace my steering rack in my 96 coupe since mine is all messed up and i wonder if anybody knows how or were can i get a diagram or something

really just need to know if i have to drop the cross member or not

i tried searching and found nothing but then again i suck at searching

download the repair manual @ hondahookup.com or check in the haynes repair manual.

i had to replace the steering rack in my 96 coupe, it was a pain.

i had to drop the subframe and all that stuff underneath. you WILL NEED an alignment after everything is complete.

i tried my best not to mess up the alignment, but it was impossible. once i installed my new rack, my alignment was wayyyy out of wack, so i got it aligned the next day and it was all good....

 

thanks man pretty much all i needed to know is if i had to drop the subframe or not wich look like i do. maybe doin this on the lift will make it a lil easier

a lift will HELP ALOT. i did my all on the ground, i had the car jacked up and supported on jackstands. a lift will make it so much easier and much more spacious.....
