Hey i just got a 1997 Honda Civic DX. its got 108,000 miles on it and runs amazing. it came with an aftermarket tach installed, but in the center console area, i know how to drive standard great, so its not like i even need a tach, so how do i UNINSTALL a tach instead of install? also my car does not have power steering, i dont really mind it, but if i go to auto college i might make it a project to install power steering. any ideas how to do this or uninstall the tach?

Well just follow the cables from the back of the tach, and dissconect them, 1 goes for ground, 1 for power (can go to the stereo power, cluster, turning lights, etc.) and the other one goes to either the dizzy, ECU or cluster.

for the power, you can pick up what you need at any junk yard from the same model you have but in LX. I dont think its worth the work, but if you must.

why not just leave it without power steering? not worth putting it on there. An if you don't want the tach send it my way
