Default Radiator fan doesn't come on!!!!

Is this something to be worried about? Temp gauge is just below half way all the time (after driving for 5-10mins+). What do you guys think i should do?

I never heard mine on until I got my turbo and it was real hot out. So, in otherwords I didn't think my fan worked for 2 and a half years.

it should come on once in a while...esp. when the engine has warmed up enough. i'd double check again...start the car (you dont have to drive it)and just wait for the fan to come on (arnd maximum time of 20 min) but watch out for the gauge..if it still doesnt come on, the sensor that activates your fan could be defective...

not really the same thing coz you have an aftermarket radiator..better cooling job than an oem one.

but like i said, the fan SHOULD come on when the ect senses that the temp is hot enough, then activates a switch for the fan to come on. you'll know if the fan is defective when you hardwire it directly to the power supply and it doesnt work. you'll know that you have a bad ect or thermoswitch if the temp gauge is above normal and the fan still wont work...a defective thermostat could be a factor as well. remember, one of the procedures in the helms manual when changing your coolant is waiting for the fan to come on...if it doesnt, there's a problem.
